Well, isn’t that a Kick in the…Starter

Here’s a cool concept: someone creative gets an idea. It’s a good idea, but it requires cash. As with most creative types, said creative person does not have cash. Said creative person needs a network of people who agree that the idea is good and who are willing to financially support it. Voila! Idea gets funded, idea gets made. Investors receive the finished product. Brilliant!

Meet Kickstarter. Kickstarter is an innovative online platform for funding creative projects. I had read snippets about it, but was familiar with the concept only and not much else when I learned about some awesome car-related projects through JeanKnowsCars.com. A little investigating later, I am now a proud member of Kickstarter, and a supporter of two projects:

The Little Red Racing Car: A Father/Son/Car Story

Blackprints: Car Designs Reimagined

Both of these projects have been fully funded, and I can’t wait to see the final results!
