Get Excited About the Alfa Romeo 4C
Finally!
Alfa Romeo, a division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, is returning to our fair shores, and it’s bringing a humdinger of a car to herald its arrival – the 4C. This mid-engined, 4-cylinder, two-seater, turbo’d, sexy Italian falls somewhere in between the no-compromises Lotus Elise and the superb but well-mannered new Porsche Cayman. Those lucky bastards who have had the opportunity to drive the 4C rave about its looks and power, but bemoan some of its less-refined characteristics, including an uncomfortable ride and a problematic rear suspension. Nonetheless, everyone seems to love it.
Gee, I wonder why?
There’s nothing I love more than a pure driving machine that’s willing to sacrifice expendable human comforts for driving dynamics. And beautiful sheetmetal just sweetens the deal.
I’ll be first in line to see the 4C when it arrives at Fiat of Austin later this year. Until we have a chance to get up close and personal, here are a few videos that hint at the fun to come.
Although – let’s be honest. What I am really lusting after is the 2015 4C Spider. Hey, a girl can dream…
I don’t know…I think you lost me at “uncomfortable ride and problematic rear suspension…” I guess I’m just too much of a soccer (i.e. karate) mom. I want the Cayman. Or is the Cayenne? Anyway, I’ll take one of those Porsches…
Lori, I would pick the Cayman for you. But you probably mean the Cayenne. 😉
