Pining for New York…

Like the dead parrot in Monty Python, I’m pining for the fjords New York. The New York Auto Show, that is. I received an amazingly generous offer of VIP tickets for tomorrow but, hey. It’s logistically complicated and ever so slightly expensive to be a globe-trotting Motorista. So I’m sitting this one out, and living vicariously through the good folks over at Automobile Magazine. Check out their New York coverage here.

What’s catching my eye so far: Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG coupe (introduced by Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm, no less), Land Rover Discovery Concept, Nissan Murano and, surprisingly, the Hyundai Sonata. And the trident wheels of the Maserati GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition coupe. Them’s some good lookers right there.

Oh, and I think Toyota redesigned the Camry. But who cares? The headline alone makes me yawn.
