Carrera of the Americas – Saturday
Apparently there are benefits to public speaking. After my recent presentation to the Hill Country Region of the Porsche Club of America, I snagged a very kind invite to attend the 2014 “Carrera of the Americas,” a PCA race weekend held at Circuit of the Americas. I went out there today and snapped a few photos I thought you might like.
It was a beautiful day for racing.
This was rich (do note the Porsche crest…).
A GT2, no less!
Heading to the grid…
Love the GMG guys. I was already a fan, but they were really cool.
Boom. This car won at least one race on Saturday.
I bet Joe & Amy are so cool. Check out the whale tale on their little beast.
Well, hello, starting grid for the next race.
Off they go…
This machine is quite serious.
This may be one of my favorite photos of all time.
And they’re off!
Winner winner, chicken dinner.
Sliced in two.
Bye-bye, No. 88.
It was kind of a beautiful day.
Thanks for keeping us up to speed on thus event for those of us who couldn’t make it out.
Thank you for reading, Paul!
