Think Pink!

You may have noticed that the title of my blog has turned pink. That’s because we’re thinking pink for the month of May!

As I mentioned recently, I am so excited to see driver Pippa Mann partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Indy 500 on May 25. What a great way to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer services and research!

Like always, I posted a link from that post to my Twitter feed and tagged Pippa Mann. She actually read the post and tweeted me back! Then I had a brainstorm – we need a Pink Watch Party! A group of people to get together to watch the Indy 500 and cheer Pippa on!

Turns out, Pippa liked the idea! And said we should let her know if we do a watch party!

Sooo…it’s on! I am spreading the word and working on a headcount, so I know how big a venue we need. Come May 25, the Pink Watch Party is coming to Austin, Texas!

And what can you do, race fans?

First, please consider going to Pippa’s website and making a tax-deductible donation to Komen.

Next, if you live in the Austin area, consider yourself invited to the Pink Watch Party! Contact me in the comments below, or send me a private message through Twitter, and let me know you’re coming. I’ll let you know the location as soon as I have the info. The party starts at 11 a.m. sharp (CST), which is the earliest the sports bars open 😉 and right when Indianapolis Motor Speedway goes green. It’s going to be epic!
