I’m Not Dead!
Yes, I’ve been gone for almost two months. Not just from the blog, but from home as well. In a big out-of-town trial that just keeps going…and going…and going…
So the blog’s been on hold. I missed Formula 1, two Cars and Coffee events, the Jaguar Land Rover of Austin grand opening, the BMW i8 reveal, vintage racing, and the LA Auto Show. However. The last 8 weeks have been an amazing opportunity for my “real” career, so I’m not complaining.
And I’m still here!
The trial is not over, and there’s lots of other work in the pipeline, so don’t expect a plethora of new material for awhile. But I’ll be back as and when I can. Thanks for sticking with me, race fans!

I am overjoyed!!! I was really missing your blog. To the point that I was ready to go on Facebook and bug Lori about it, figuring she would know where you were. But she hasn’t been on FB lately, so then I thought it was a conspiracy. Someone jealous of your writing skills (and enthusiasm for racing) had kidnapped your whole family and hidden them away in some deep, dark hole of a town where they don’t even have an Internet connection! (Probably northwestern Arkansas…) But then I realized that it was probably that whole ‘life’ thing, and calmed down a bit. Had to go out in the garage and swap a few drive axles around to relax, though.
Sorry you missed all the fun events. I hope this ‘career’ thing isn’t going to be too much of a distraction from your *real* work! I look forward to you being the first professional Formula 1 driver / commentator and Supreme Court Justice.
