It’s here! The Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, TX kicks off this Friday, Oct. 23, and culminates in the big race on Sunday. Unlike the tragedy of last year, I am here and ready to go!
The race weekend actually started today for me, with a pit walk at Circuit of the Americas this afternoon. Rain was threatening (indeed, the forecast is rather dire the entire weekend), but the sky held its tears long enough for me to walk the pits, snap a few photos, and determine whose pits I will have the best view of this weekend (answer: Infiniti Red Bull, Williams, and Mercedes!).
Working on Romain Grosjean’s car (he is moving to Haas F1, the new American team, next year!).
Remember this name. Trust me.
Sergio Perez’s car.
The Scuderia has arrived.
The guy I’ll be cheering for this weekend!
And his beautiful car…
The man himself.
Lewis Hamilton’s car. Not a fan of the guy. But the car is awfully nice, isn’t it?
The two Ferraris head in to testing. Beautiful cars!
Toro Rosso would like to join the party.
See you at the starting line on Sunday!
