Detroit GP! Saturday

Greetings from beautiful Detroit! The skies are blue, the foliage is green, and the air is filled with the sound of race engines and the smell of exhaust fumes. Belle Isle, the beautiful (newly christened) state park located on the Detroit River between Detroit and Canada, played host today to the Pirelli World Challenge, TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and IndyCar. I was there from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. I took three camera batteries, all of which died, as did my phone. My skin is somewhere between deep brown and lobster red; even my eyes are sunburned. In other words, Perfect Day.

Here are a few photos (out of the 500) I took. More tomorrow!
